Tipcomb holder
Within a DNA extraction machine, 96 DNA samples are moved simultaniously using a tipcomb. A plastic piece with 96 protrusions that lifts up and down. Normally, the tipcomb is placed in a plastic plate, before inserted in the machine. Because the tipcomb needs to be clean, the plastic plate is discarded after every (few) runs. In order to avoid this waste, the aluminum tipcomb holder is designed that can be washed and reused.
